Both Frans Stafleu and Dick Cowan have worked together very closely with IDC in the 1960's in the creation of a botany collection of over 6,000 rare monograph titles, some 46 historical herbariums, and several serials and seed lists. Having microfilmed in different libraries and institutes throughout the world IDC has put together a vast quantity of valuable material which is made accessible to scholars around the world.So far IDC published about 55% of the monographs mentioned in the TL-2 on microfiche (over 5000 monographs, 40 herbaria, etc.). Microfiche copies The records of the titles that are available on microfiche through IDC Publishers contain a reference to the Botany microfiche collection.
